Being findable now means being quotable.
The growth plan: consistent publishing for Google and AI search once the foundation is ready, with keyword and prompt research, schema, and monthly reporting.
What is AI search visibility, and how is it different from SEO?
Traditional SEO works to rank a page. AI search visibility works to make a passage quotable, because assistants answer by citing a specific claim rather than by listing links. The technical foundation overlaps heavily, but the writing does not: an answer has to survive being lifted out of your page.
What the growth plan includes
Optional, and deliberately sequenced after the foundation is ready. Publishing into a site that is not structured to be read is spending money to be ignored.
- Keyword and prompt research, because people ask assistants different questions than they type into Google
- Topical authority mapping, so the pages build on each other rather than competing
- AI-readable schema and citable FAQs, the formats assistants extract most reliably
- A visibility dashboard, so presence is measured rather than assumed
- Monthly strategy and reporting
- Search Console monitoring
Why the writing has to change
An assistant does not send a visitor to read your page. It lifts a passage out and attributes it. That changes what good writing is: an answer has to be self-contained, stated in the first forty to sixty words, and specific enough to be worth quoting. Vague pages get skipped in favour of a competitor who put a number in a sentence.
- Question-shaped headings that match how people actually ask
- Answers in the first 40 to 60 words, complete without the paragraph above them
- Concrete numbers, ranges and dates, because those are what get quoted
- Visible expertise: named authors, real dates, first-hand specifics from real projects
We do this on our own site first
Everything described here is running on the site you are reading. The robots policy explicitly welcomes GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, there is a maintained llms.txt index, and pages carry organization, breadcrumb and FAQ schema. If an agency sells AI visibility without doing it themselves, that tells you something.

Does traditional SEO still matter?+
Yes, and most of the technical foundation is shared. Crawlability, speed, structure and schema serve both. What changes is the writing, because an assistant quotes a passage rather than ranking a page.
Can you guarantee we get cited by ChatGPT?+
No, and anyone who guarantees it is guessing. What we control is whether your pages are accessible to those crawlers, structured in the formats they extract, and specific enough to be worth quoting. That is the whole of what is actually in anyone's control.
How long before this shows results?+
Technical and schema work shows up in weeks. Content-led visibility compounds over months, and the first sixty days usually look flat even when the work is correct. The common failure is abandoning it in week six.
Do we need this if we already rank well in Google?+
Ranking well and being quoted are becoming different things. An assistant summarising an answer may never send the click that your ranking earned, so the question is whether your page is the one being summarised.
