The Challenge
Brandon Cole Widener is a premium video producer based in California. His reputation, creative style, and eye for storytelling set him apart in a competitive industry. But his website wasn't keeping up. In a field where clients hire based on feel as much as credentials, showing up with an outdated portfolio was costing him credibility before a conversation even started. Worse, he was sending individual project links instead of a cohesive experience, which made him look like everyone else when he clearly wasn't.
Our Strategy
We didn't start by opening a design tool. We started by trying to understand Brandon — his industry, his aesthetic, and how he wanted to make people feel when they landed on his site. From there, we built a curated moodboard to lock in the visual direction, mapped out the site's structure before touching a single design element, and collaborated closely with Brandon on concepts until we landed on something that felt unmistakably his. The result is a premium portfolio experience that does exactly what a good website should: it gets out of the way and lets the work speak. **Key Actions** - In-depth discovery to understand brand, audience, and creative expectations - Moodboard creation to define visual direction before design began - Wireframe built to map UX flow before any visual work started - Collaborative design process to make sure Brandon's voice came through - Final content integration, polish, and launch
The Results
website that closes deals instead of losing them
cheap service comparisons since launch
sites built — Brandon came back for a second project
